Position: APPIAN ARCHITECT / Appian Lead Developer

Location: Reston, VA & Washington DC / Plano TX / Maryland ( Remote).

Experience: 14+ Years

Work type: Fulltime(W2) / C2C

PETADATA is currently looking to hire for the position of APPIAN ARCHITECT/ Appian Lead Developer for one of their clients.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • The Ideal candidate should develop and test user management business process designs, in Appian, working with document management, user access, and user summary dashboards.
  • Need to work with teams to review and verify the implementation of applications according to design best practices, performance, and security.
  • Must focus on business logic and process flows, working on the design, and development of business logic, process models/flows, and UI screens to implement in a BPM (Business Process Management)-based system.
  • Should be able to prepare and maintain the application and security documentation as requested by clients.
  • Must be able to lead the build, test, and delivery of intelligent automation solutions using industry-leading vendor technologies.
  • Support data migration activities such as mapping data elements, using ETL tools, and writing stored procedures to migrate data between various databases
  • Coordinate closely with team members to ensure proper fixes, unit testing, and configuration management.
  • Should have to implement functionality and troubleshoot issues using a basic understanding of web development languages, protocols, and technologies (HTML, CSS, JSON).
  • Demonstrate new functionality to business stakeholders and key end users to iterate on business processes and UI elements in an Agile software cycle.
  • Develop Structured Query Language (SQL), update data models and implement common database best practices (indexes, triggers, and data structure).
  • Must ensure software maintains data integrity, security, and best practice standards.
  • Develop custom-built applications for public sector clients as well as provide thought leadership, guidance, and assistance in helping shape and grow the Appian Automation services.

Required Skills:

  • The candidate must have 10+ years of experience in Appian, building solutions, and delivering mission-critical applications leveraging (Appian platform 22.X is required).
  • Must have in-depth knowledge in version control systems and code repositories such as Git preferred.
  • Should be a strong understanding in design, and hands-on experience of Appian Objects (such as Records, Reports, Tasks, News, Sites, Actions, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Interface Rules, CDTs, UI SAIL, and Process Models. Constants, Decisions, Integrations, Connected Systems, Data Stores, Groups, Feeds etc).
  • Must have sound knowledge of App Servers such as JBOSS, TOMCAT, etc., and Web Servers such as Apache, etc.
  • Should be an expert in HTML, HTML5, CSS, JSON, XML, JavaScript, and Ajax.
  • Need to have in-depth knowledge of version control systems and code repositories such as Git preferred.
  • Work experience on one or more end-to-end Appian BPM implementations (Design / Develop / Deploy / Package).
  • Must have experience in integration with Web Services (SOAP and REST both), ESBs such as MuleSoft
  • Sound Knowledge/Experian of Appian Process/Solution and Infrastructure Architecture.
  • Should be an expert in full software life cycle development methodologies, with a focus on Agile.
  • Need to have strong experience with Appian Tool, with a focus on Appian Application and Appian Interface design.
  • Must handle Application Security (Encryption/Decryption, TLS/SSL, Digital Certificate) and SSO (SAML, OAuth).
  • Must have to be well versed with the latest versions of Appian releases including process mining, AI, and RPA capabilities.
  • Experience/exposure to Cloud Migration (on-prem to cloud and vice versa), DB Migration.
  • APPIAN Certification is a Plus.
  • Should have good verbal and communication skills.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
