Requirements for this Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) job

To thrive as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) at Southwest Health System, Inc., you will need a diverse skill set that ensures exceptional patient care and smooth clinic operations. A high school diploma or equivalent is essential, along with a current CCMA license and BLS certification.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

CCMA Regulatory/Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certificate (required) within 3 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year prior medical assisting preferred.

Language Skills:

• Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Skills:

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to read analyze and interpret medical data and professional journals.
• Ability to understand and use electronic medical record software.
• Ability to listen and understand patient questions and communicate complex information accurately and understandably.
• Strong communication skills.
