Process Engineer (chemical engineer)

A chemical manufacturing company is looking for a mid-level chemical engineer/process engineer to support multiple areas of their operation.

This is a "classic process engineering" position working across the operation

Key must-haves :

• 3- 8 years of experience as a process engineer working in chemical manufacturing
• Noted years of experences in a plant setting; not a design position
• Familiarity working in/around a PSM environment
• Degree in chemical engineering
• No relocation - preference to candidates in area of plant

The position .

• "classic" process engineering - optimization, troubleshooting, etc, with engineering
• Track performance of plant processes, identify areas for improvements, work with ops to design/implement
• Key member of site "process and equipment improvement team"
• Plan and conduct trials - lab, pilot and in-plant/plant trials toward process improvements
• Work with PSM, reliablity and safety on PHAs and incident investigations
• Work with project management group on larger projects; manage some smaller ones
• Work with all groups on middle and long-term strategic plans
• Support formal MOC

Required/preferred :

• 3-8 years of experience in a chemical, petrochemical or refining operation
• Experience in PSM-regulated operations
• 4 year degree in chemical engineering
• A nice human being to work with! Part of the engineering team
• Must be U.S. citizen/resident. Must not need, now or at any point in the future, a visa or sponsorship
• Willing and able to work in and around an active plant. Position is on-site, not remote.

Salary: Approximately $120k-$140k plus bonus.
