Cognizant is seeking a Data Center Technician for a full-time opportunity in San Jose, CA. This is an onsite role and will require the candidate to work from the office. **Job Responsibilities:** Ø Equipment Moves, Installation and Setup Ø Troubleshooting and Break Fix Tasks Ø Decommissioning and Disposal Ø Maintenance and Repairs Ø Monitoring and Reporting Ø Inventory Asset Management Ø Emergency Response Ø Lab Cleanliness and Safety Ø Basic Testbed Support **Qualifications:** Candidates applying to this role should have knowledge/skill in the following areas:' Ø Installation and configuration of hardware components such as servers, routers, and switches Ø Installation and upgrade of IOS, OS, ESXi Ø Help to replicate or build configurations based on customer requirement. Ø Installation and networking of Managed Power Distribution Unites mPDUs Ø Intra and Inter lab equipment and rack moves Ø Cable management, including running, organizing, topology clean-up, and labelling network cables Ø Troubleshooting and Break Fix Tasks Ø Conduct basic diagnostics to identify hardware issues. Ø Network debugging, tracking layer 1 to 3 issues Ø Router, Switch, installation and Upgrade experience is must Ø Rack & Stack, PDU installation experience is must Ø Should have experience in labelling inventory tracking for components and devices inside Data Center. **Salary and Benefits:** The annual salary for this position is between $54,000 to $ 63,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
