Job Description

We are searching for an experienced   Maintenance Technician  for a hotel in Orange Beach, AL.

We are seeking someone who can work both independently AND as part of a team. The Maintenance Technicians' responsibilities will include maintaining order of the property, completing tasks in a timely manner, and ensuring that all safety and structural standards are met throughout the completion of each project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• MUST be able to show a moderate to high level of experience working with Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC.
• Inspect equipment and conduct routine maintenance.  
• Immediately   take any and all steps  necessary  to remove/replace old and/or faulty equipment.
• Create, maintain, and adhere to preventive maintenance schedules; ensuring that time-based maintenance is ALWAYS completed according to the documented repair schedules.
• Consider all costs associated with each project, including materials, costs of labor, and time expended.
• See projects through from start to completion.
• Provide technical support and/or training on all new equipment.
• Promote a positive and caring work environment.
• Always approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
• Patrol the interior as well as the exterior perimeter of the hotel to observe and identify potential security and safety risks.
• Always be mindful of anything that can cause undesirable conditions, or negatively affect the welfare of our guests,
• Maintain order in the hotel while staying calm and rational.
• Assist in coordinating an expedient response to any and all emergency conditions such as fire, safety hazards, and threats to life and/or property.
• Responds to guest complaints AND do adequate research to solve and/or develop the most effective solutions.
• Project a professional appearance at ALL TIMES.
• Performs any other duties assigned by management. 

PAY:
The position will start at $17 - $19an hour ( depending on experience level )

SCHEDULE:  
TWO shifts are available: 7am-3pm -OR- 2pm-10pm - MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK EVERY OTHER WEEKEND
***Management is working to realign the schedules to provide everyone with two CONSECUTIVE days off and to have everyone on rotating weekends (so you don’t have to work every weekend)

REQUIREMENTS:  
Must pass a  pre-employment background check AND have RELIABLE transportation to Orange Beach
