Internship Department Details:
  • Department Name: Sensor Process Development Engineering
  • Business Function: Research and Development
  • Team Highlights: Work on current and future product generations to improve and develop novel bio-sensor designs through process characterization and optimization, and equipment design and implementation.

Where you come in:
  • You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and scientists to improve processes for current and new products.
  • You will learn and apply sensor technology fundamentals to capture design iterations, down selections, and critical process inputs and outputs.
  • You will operate off-the-shelf and custom sensor manufacturing equipment to design and run experiments for process and equipment optimization.
  • You will contribute to material science initiatives, including formulation design, and help develop measurement and test methods to support sensor technology.
  • You will design, execute, and document experiments, writing process instructions to capture new and evolving processes.

What makes you successful:
  • You must have a basic understanding of experimental design.
  • You must have some basic understanding of data processing platforms like JMP, MATLAB, Minitab, Excel, etc.
  • You must be able to collaborate and execute your own experiments as well as support the work of other technical leaders on the team.
  • You are open to learning new things in several environments, ranging from manufacturing floors to chemical and mechanical laboratories.

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Requires a high school diploma/certificate or equivalent.
  • Must be a currently enrolled student at an accredited college or university in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.

Non-Exempt Salary Details:

The annualized base salary range for this role is $27.00 to $29.00. Annualized values for non-exempt (hourly) positions are estimates, final annualized salary will depend on total hours worked. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
