Mature couple looking to hire a Highly Experienced Full-time Live-In or Out, Housekeeper for their Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania home. The Ideal Candidate: A good housekeeper and house manager who is excellent at daily housekeeping when the family is in residence and who can manage the house at all times. Daily housekeeping in the home includes laundry, ironing, maintaining indoor and outdoor living areas and dog care, which might include overnight dog care when the couple is travelling. Management of the home would require coordination with tradespeople, the gardener, the Farm Manager and others at the farm. When the family is not in residence, mainly winter and summer, this position would be responsible for special projects; such as window and fixture cleaning, and other deep cleaning projects around the residence. This position could be live-in or live out if the person lives locally. What Works Best for Family: Candidate should be flexible and have a positive, can-do, professional attitude. We expect the candidate to be well spoken, perceptive and to get to know the family well enough to anticipate the couple’s needs and the needs of managing the home, the guest house, household and grounds staff. Candidate must be able to work as a team with other farm staff. Position Responsibilities  Housekeeping: Vacuuming, dusting, silver, bathrooms, changing linens, clean-up in kitchen, etc.  Other: Window and Fixture Cleaning and other special projects  Maintaining/Sweeping outdoor terraces  Cooking: No Cooking Required  Laundry: Family Laundry  Ironing: Required and important. Meticulous attention to detail.  Serving: Help with small dinner parties and family holidays with serving and clean-up  Errands: Dry Cleaners; Post Office, etc.  Driving: Car Available for Position Position Requirements  Work Hours: Five days per week to be determined in consultation with principals. 40 hours per week with days typically starting between 8:00am and 10:00am. Rotating weekends. Flexibility is required when scheduling hours. Evenings or overnights may be needed for dog care and on holidays or when the couple is entertaining or traveling  Languages: English  Experience: 4 Years of Experience  References: Minimum of 3 References  Personality Traits: Someone who is experienced in a large home, works well with others, knows how to read a room, loves dogs and knows how to care for them. The candidate must know how to manage their time well so that all tasks are accomplished completely within the allotted hours. Position Compensation  Salary: $38-$42 per hour  Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision after 60 days of employment with employee contribution. Optional employee-paid disability, life and accident.  401(k): Eligible after 1 year of service with 3% employer match  Living Accommodations: Live-in accommodations provided in Pennsylvania.
