Requirements:
• 1 years of OTA experience
• LTC or Rehab Experience
• COTA license
Responsibilities:
• Uses evidence-based practice to support interventions.
• Provides rehabilitative treatments for cognitive and physical disorders under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administers ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive devices.
• Monitors patient progress and collaborates with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust care.
• Reports treatment outcomes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Consults patients, families, caregivers, and service providers.
• Communicates with supervisors and health team members on progress, barriers, and plans.
• Contributes to discharge summaries.
• Maintains accurate documentation and treatment records per requirements.
• Records treatment minutes per regulations.
• Attends patient care, utilization review, and rehab meetings.
• Participates in required trainings and in-services.
• Assists in obtaining needed DME or supplies.
• Supports and supervises students under guidance.
• Follows NBCOT/AOTA and State codes of conduct and ethics.
• Holds active State Licensure/Registration when applicable.
