Job Description

Stepan is seeking a Production Assistant to join our plant team in Anaheim, CA. Please note Midnight-8am Shift .

The Production Assistant is responsible for loading and unloading trucks and railcars.

Additional  responsibilities include data entry, container analysis, and verifying correct product loading to accommodate customers' orders.

The Production Assistant will report directly to the Production Supervisor. 

-Non Exempt position in a union enviroment

6 months of probationary pay $34.78. If probation is satisfied pay increases to $40.78

Qualifications

Essential job responsibilities include:

• Adherence to safety processes/standards and procedures
• Reading and analyzing specifications results and recommendations for equipment controls 
• Unload and load drums and totes
• Drive Forklift for movement of materials and goods
• Observing, monitoring and adjusting control settings on equipment
• Monitoring equipment; observing temperature, pressure, level, and flow gauges 
• Collecting product samples for analysis
• Recording and compiling operating data and instrument readings 
• Opening and closing valves to regulate flow of product and checking equipment for leaks
• Data entry
• Performs all other housekeeping and production related duties for common and assigned area 

Education

-High School Diploma required 

-Prior experience in a production enviroment is preferred

-Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Familiarity with production equipment and procedures is preferred.

-Must be able to lift, pull, push 50lbs> . Must be able to walk, climb, bend, stoop as needed.
