Essential Job Duties

Key Responsibilities

Assistance in planning, ordering and monitoring supplies for assigned projects. Establish a schedule of experiments and a timeline for completion of each assigned project.
Collect and process samples from microbial expression system
Conduct the experiment and collect data, under supervision of the Principal Investigator. Prepare inventories of samples and monitor storage conditions. Record and present date during laboratory meetings. Maintain and expand skills in diabetes research methodology as required to meet the research needs of the GCBS .

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the training and supervision of students (in the GCBS and adjacent laboratories) mentored by GCBS faculty members.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the general maintenance of the instruments and equipment in the HEC research laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in weekly laboratory meetings between students, faculty members and/or lab technicians.
Provide weekly update on progress
Discuss research plans for the following week.
Coordinate research plans with other technicians and faculty members.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the preparation of manuscripts and grant proposals as wells as communicate effectively in written reports.
